The Robert Flint Foundation will provide four SkillsUSA state officers with awards of $1,300 each to support travel to the “Leverage” leadership training at the 2024 NLSC. Only SkillsUSA state association directors may submit applications for scholarship candidates. Each state association, including both high school and college/postsecondary associations in applicable states, may submit an application for each state officer on their team. This year’s winners include:

  • Jayden Sandoval, Dauphin County Technical School, Pa.
  • Rashell Tanner, Augusta Technical College, Ga.
  • Corina Stewart, Savannah Technical College, Ga.
  • Taylor Strange, Barren County Area Technology Center, Ky.

SkillsUSA students have been elected as national officers to serve more than 400,000 members for the 2024-25 school year. The 14 high school and college/postsecondary students will serve as advocates for SkillsUSA and career and technical education (CTE) and will lead two national conferences, facilitate sessions for students and instructors and advocate on behalf of SkillsUSA to elected officials and representatives of business and industry as they represent the national organization at various events.
