Trezevant Career and Technical Center students in Memphis, Tenn., provide free cosmetology services to cancer survivors and patients during the school’s Cancer Pamper Party.
Besides giving patients some relief from disruptions caused by treatments, offering services to actual clients rather than mannequins gives students hands-on, customer-service experience. Services include haircuts, pedicures, manicures, waxing and facials. Culinary arts students prepare and serve refreshments.
