SkillsUSA WorldSkills Competitor Wins Bronze in International Welding Competition, Oct. 17-20 in Cleveland

Jordan Packer of Utah won a bronze medal in Welding at the international WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition, held Oct. 17-20 at the Lincoln Electric Welding Technology and Training Center in Cleveland. Packer was the sole U.S. competitor for the event, which was part of a series of 62 WorldSkills 2022 Special Edition competitions, presented by Samsung.

The Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence was presented to 20 teachers across the United States this week, including 12 registered SkillsUSA instructors. The prize recognizes outstanding instruction in the skilled trades in U.S. public high schools and the teachers who inspire students to learn skills for life after graduation.
