2020 WLTI Canceled

As a result of the ongoing pandemic, SkillsUSA has decided to cancel the 2020 Washington Leadership Training Institute, originally scheduled for September 19-23 in Washington, D.C. This decision was made first and foremost with the health and safety of our members in mind, and it was informed by the guidance and advice of our nation’s medical and infectious disease experts. While we understand and share in the disappointment this decision may cause (especially in light of so many other local, state and national SkillsUSA events that have been affected by this pandemic), we believe it is ultimately the right decision for our members and their families. SkillsUSA remains committed to providing the advanced leadership development and advocacy experiences that WLTI is known for, whether through an in-person or virtual event. Alternative options and dates are currently being investigated, and full details will be provided as they are finalized.

SkillsUSA Store Transitioning to New Vendor

SkillsUSA’s merchandising partnership with Centricity will end on Nov. 21. Halo, SkillsUSA’s new merchandising partner, will assume operation of the SkillsUSA Store on Nov. 24 with a limited inventory.

SkillsUSA Instructors Recognized as Winners for the 2025 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence

SkillsUSA instructors are among 25 outstanding teachers from 18 states who are winners for the 2025 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence. In total, [$1.5 million] in cash prizes were awarded to the teachers and their programs.
