Former SkillsUSA Board Member Scott Stump Named Assistant Secretary for OCTAE

The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) and Advance CTE released the following joint statement in response to Scott Stump’s confirmation as assistant secretary for the Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education (OCTAE). “OCTAE serves an important purpose within the career and technical education (CTE) system, providing support for CTE programs all across the country and administering roughly $1.2 billion annually through the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act. The Assistant Secretary is also the face of CTE at the national level, advocating for it across the Department of Education and federal government.” Read the full story on careertech.org.
