Provides National Carpentry Winners with Scholarships Leesburg, Va. — The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has announced support for SkillsUSA, a national education nonprofit focused on workforce development. Scholarships Provide Registration Fees to Attend National Conference Leesburg, Va. — Thanks to a grant from Harbor Freight Tools for Schools, 53 student members and advisors of SkillsUSA from across the country received scholarships to participate in SkillsUSA’s 57th National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC), held virtually June 14-24, 2021. On May 4, SkillsUSA celebrated a successful SkillsUSA National Signing Day, working with industry partners to highlight the value of skilled trades careers. Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Supports SkillsUSA Students as they Demonstrate Career-Ready Skills

Grant Covers Scholarships and General Support Leesburg, Va. — More than 500 students from across the United States will receive scholarships to attend a national career skills event online thanks to a grant from Harbor Freight Tools for Schools. The $115,000 grant will support SkillsUSA in their general operations and will provide scholarships for students participating in the Connect to My Future and National Leadership and Skills conferences in May and June 2021. 2020 Fine Homebuilding Scholarship Winners Announced

Fine Homebuilding has awarded 14 #KeepCraftAlive scholarships to SkillsUSA members studying in construction-related fields who plan to continue their education for the 2020-21 academic year. The $2500 scholarships can be used for further education including community college, undergraduate programs or industry certifications. The scholarship fund was created by Fine Homebuilding to address the skills gap, a disparity between the employment demands of a growing housing industry and a shortage of trained qualified labor.
