SkillsUSA’s Models of Excellence program recognizes the best chapters in the nation for the exceptional integration of the SkillsUSA Framework’s three components (Personal, Workplace and Technical Skills Grounded in Academics) into SkillsUSA chapter activities. The focus of Models of Excellence is student-led activation. These students learn and practice the skills that every employer seeks — including leadership, initiative, communication, teamwork and problem-solving—by taking the lead on all SkillsUSA activities. Their SkillsUSA instructors guide them, elevating learning from instruction to the successful application of skills. The top SkillsUSA chapters will be evaluated by a panel of judges at NLSC based on their goals, plan of action, results, evaluation and SkillsUSA Framework integration. The top three schools will be recognized on June 27 at the SkillsUSA Awards Session at State Farm Arena.
