There are several ways to support SkillsUSA through charitable giving. See the options below:
SkillsUSA Mission Support
Core mission support provides organizational resources to promote skilled trades through 1. expanded curriculum and product development; 2. increased membership and marketing; and 3. enhanced support for 60 state associations and more than 20,000 classrooms in the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Mission support also provides SkillsUSA vital organizational capacity; infrastructure enhancements; financial stability and flexibility; and continuous evaluation and systems improvements. Funding Core Mission Support demonstrates your commitment to inspiring the next generation of skilled workers.
SkillsUSA Hope Fund
The SkillsUSA Hope Fund provides support to student members:
- Experiencing financial or personal crisis to propel their education and career pathways.
- By assisting chapters affected by natural disasters.
- By ensuring financial stability of SkillsUSA’s network of leaders and associations.
Marsha Daves Memorial Scholarship Fund
During Marsha Daves’ SkillsUSA career she filled many roles, including: first recipient of the Marsha Daves Lifetime Achievement Award, SkillsUSA Board of Director member, Chair of the State of Oklahoma Director’s Association, recipient of the Honorary Life Award, and her final role as Director of Education and Training with the national SkillsUSA staff. To the students and colleagues that were able to work with Marsha, her role was truly an educator, advisor, and mentor.
The Marsha Daves Memorial Scholarship recognizes how our student leaders use the personal skills they develop to be a team member, leader, employee, citizen and an effective individual that fulfills the mission of SkillsUSA. This is an annual merit-based $1,500 scholarship for college/postsecondary education to a state officer in memory of the legacy left by our champion Marsha Daves.
Journey of a Jacket Fund
Through the SkillsUSA Journey of a Jacket program, student members are selected through an application process to receive their own SkillsUSA official jacket. Each jacket gives students pride and confidence that they belong to the larger SkillsUSA community.
Whether you are a SkillsUSA state director, advisor, volunteer, alumni, donor, or simply someone who has a heart for SkillsUSA members, you are invited to support a student with your contribution to the SkillsUSA Journey of a Jacket Fund.
“[To receive a SkillsUSA jacket] I would finally feel like I belong to a big family.”
