Chapter Officer Development Conference

Elevate
October 8, 2025

What: Virtual Local Chapter Officer Team Training
When: Oct. 8, 2025, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET
Cost: $50 per chapter, regardless of the number of attendees

Elevate is an interactive virtual experience for local chapter officer teams that focuses on building successful chapters by equipping officers with the skills to lead and serve their chapter members.

The Elevate experience is open to all SkillsUSA chapter officers. Each chapter officer team will join Elevate as a group, using their classroom’s projector and screen to interact with the virtual experience. In addition to live, facilitated sessions, Elevate will break out into intentional worktime led by the local chapter advisor (equipped with a learning guide that we provide), with the goal of ensuring every chapter leaves Elevate with an actionable Program of Work.

Already completed your chapter’s Program of Work before Elevate? Join us and use Elevate as a chance to refine and strengthen it to ensure your chapter is equipped for success and constantly greater goals and challenges.

Key Registration Info

  • Registration opens Sept. 1 and closes on Oct. 3.
  • An advisor orientation for registered chapters will be offered on Monday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. ET, and again on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 5:30 p.m. ET.
  • Webinars for chapter advisors to learn more about Elevate will be offered in the fall.
  • Note: At least one advisor or instructor must participate with each registered chapter officer team, as some of the learning content is facilitated directly by the advisor/instructor, using a learning guide that we provide.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of Elevate, the SkillsUSA mission is achieved by ensuring that chapter officers are able to:

  • Use Self-Motivation, Communication, Teamwork and Planning, Organizing and Management to serve and lead their chapter members.
  • Lead chapter members in their development of Framework skills through intentional incorporation of the skills in chapter Program of Work activities.
  • Implement a four-step process of planning high-quality and successful chapter activities that align with a Program of Work category and include goals, Essential Element instruction, a plan to achieve, and an evaluation.
