In the World Championships of Vocational Skills, Contestants Go for the Gold

SkillsUSA competitor Jordan Baker was featured in The Wall Street Journal on Oct. 30 in an article, “The Thrill of Victory in Welding, Baking and Bricklaying,” about the recent WorldSkills competition, held Oct. 14-19 in Abu Dhabi. Baker practiced nearly daily for more than six months on bread-making techniques under the close eye of her technical expert. SkillsUSA executive director Tim Lawrence was interviewed by reporter Bill Spindle for the article.
