NJ-Vets-Luncheon SkillsUSA members at Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical Academy in Elizabeth, N.J., held a luncheon for 20 veterans from the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park. Culinary arts students prepared the meals and presented the vetarans with certificates honoring them for their military service. “The students who participated were proud of the success of their event,” says Penelope Hudeen, teacher and SkillsUSA advisor, who adds they’re working on ways to improve the next luncheon.
