SkillsUSA 2022 Year in Review Video

SkillsUSA thanks all of our members, partners, friends and stakeholders for making 2022 a truly amazing, magnificent and life-changing year. The 2022 Year in Review video highlights some of the year’s top moments. Please enjoy, share and take pride in the fact that you helped make these moments possible for thousands of students across the nation. Thank you, and the best is yet to come in 2023.

SkillsUSA National Officer Candidates Sought

Becoming a SkillsUSA national officer is the ultimate personal growth and student leadership experience within SkillsUSA, and the 2023-24 National Officer Program Guide and application are now available. The guide contains a wealth of information on what certifications and Career Essentials coursework candidates need to complete before applying. SkillsUSA provides no-cost access to these certifications to national officer candidates, but students will need to apply for access by Jan. 16. All national officer applications must be submitted by June 1 at 6 p.m. ET.

Final Call for Proposed Bylaw Amendments

Registered SkillsUSA members can submit proposed bylaw amendments for the middle school, high school or college/postsecondary divisions for consideration by the House of Delegates at the 2023 NLSC. Bylaw amendment motions must be submitted in writing to Tyler Chaffin by Saturday, Jan. 21 at 5 p.m. ET. The SkillsUSA National Executive Council and board of directors will review all submissions at the March board meeting. All motions will then be distributed to SkillsUSA association directors by April 22. Motions will be presented and voted on at the official business meeting of the House of Delegates at the 2023 NLSC. Bylaw amendments are governed by Article XII of the high school and college/postsecondary bylaws and Article X of the middle school bylaws. Find more information and view the bylaws online. The motion form can be found here.

Plan Now for 2023 SkillsUSA Week

SkillsUSA Week is Feb. 6-10, 2023, and SkillsUSA members can participate by honoring community supporters, connecting with local business and industry professionals, or making a presentation about their CTE program and SkillsUSA chapter at a school board meeting. We encourage members to celebrate by planning activities that follow the daily schedule of events using the SkillsUSA Week Chapter Guide. If you would like to outfit officers or members, a special SkillsUSA Week T-shirt is now available in the SkillsUSA Store. The T-shirt features the art of Clara Brown from Upper Valley Career Center in Piqua, Ohio.
