8:30 a.m. -12:15 p.m.
12:30-4:15 p.m.

Aspire is the first SkillsUSA career conference designed specifically for high school students. The conference will create an authentic career-focused experience between students and industry partners that fosters meaningful and lasting connections relevant to the student’s future career.

For high school students, attention will be given to career aspirations within a cluster, narrowing down available options and bringing personal interests into focus. This is a live encounter with industry professionals to learn more about in-demand careers.

For teachers, this conference is an opportunity to provide students direct connection to national industry partners who represent in-demand careers meeting Perkins V requirements and, potentially, state education standards

As a result of attending Aspire, the SkillsUSA mission is achieved by ensuring members are able to:

  • Examine their career priorities.
  • Interact with business and industry professionals to distinguish between different career options.
  • Create a personal action plan that includes a SMART career development goal.

Aspire is designed to develop the following  Essential Elements of the Framework:

  • Job-Specific Skills.
  • Professional Development.
