2021 SkillsUSA Career Competition Project

Greetings SkillsUSA Advisors!

We need your help in capturing your genius ideas! We know that each of you at your respective educational sites provide incredible learning opportunities for students and we need your help in providing those same opportunities for teachers and students throughout the nation. The goal of this  advisor challenge is to collect a diverse and expansive collection of contest projects that could be utilized at a local competition. These projects will then be included in the corresponding Hosting a Local Career Competition guide, which is designed to provide teachers with a turnkey kit for hosting a local event.

What do I get if I win?
You may be saying to yourself, what is in it for me? I have a million and one things to do! For starters how about empowering fellow educators! We get better as a professional and influence more young people when we collaborate. Sometimes it just takes one idea to spark many more. Secondly, how about some spending money? SkillsUSA is offering the following prizes for the best and most complete project submissions:

  • Top five project submissions in each career competition will receive a $100 Lowe’s gift card.
  • The best project submission in each career competition will receive a $350 Lowe’s gift card.

When are project submissions due?
The competition closes on Nov. 15, 2021, and the top projects will be announced on Dec.13, 2021.

Can I submit more than one project?
Of course. We want all your great ideas!

Can the project submission be content I received from another teacher or an industry partner?
No, the project must be your original work.
