  • SkillsUSA National Signing Day

    May 4, 2021

    SkillsUSANational Signing Day on May 4 is open to all SkillsUSA high school seniors orcollege/postsecondary members who are pursuing the skilled trades. Thisopportunity to have students recognized will be hosted by SkillsUSA chapters nationwide.Chapters will invite business partners, school administrators, teachers,elected officials, SkillsUSA alumni, family and friends to honor studentssigning “letters of intent” for a job offer, apprenticeship or advancedtechnical training. The 2021 SkillsUSA National Signing Day is sponsoredby The Home Depot, Klein Tools and 84 Lumber.

     

    Registrationis open March 15 to April 16 for all students participating in the event.Advisors should also register to gain access to the SkillsUSA National SigningDay Toolkit.   • SkillsUSA Connect to My Future Conference (virtual)

    May 5, 2021 - May 6, 2021  

    Connect to My Future is a new two-dayvirtual conference designed to create authentic experiences for SkillsUSAmembers to connect with industry partners in their career cluster. SkillsUSAwill help expand the talent pipeline by reaching students earlier in theircareer decision-making process to provide information about career fields andoptions. Registered classrooms will receive a package of digital resources.This new national event provides:

    • Access to a low-costSkillsUSA national conference focused on careers.
    • Opportunities for occupationalawareness and identity.
    • Meaningful interactionswith SkillsUSA business and industry partners.
    • A direct connectionto future internships, military or employment. 

    Conference Tracks

    Explore— May 5, 11:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.for middle school students

    Aspire— May 5, 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or12:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for high school students

    Connect — May 6,  8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for high school seniors andcollege/postsecondary students 

    Attendance and Cost:

    An estimated 3,500 members areexpected to participate along with estimated 250 business partners from 25companies (10 per company).
