Act now to take advantage of the SkillsUSA SCOAR (Southeastern Construction Owners and Associates Roundtable) scholarship opportunities. Up to 23 Southeastern SkillsUSA members who are pursuing a career path in the construction trades will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. Applicants should be students who want to take their expertise to the highest possible level and pursue advanced education in their field at a postsecondary institution offering a degree, credentialing or certification program in a construction-related field. This includes trade areas such as HVACR, building trades and renovations, architectural drafting and technology, masonry, painting and decorating, building maintenance, landscaping and interior design.
Scholarship applications are welcomed from high school seniors wishing to continue their education at a postsecondary educational institution in pursuit of a career and technical education degree, diploma or certification program. Postsecondary students already enrolled in such or wanting to continue their program are also encouraged to apply. This scholarship opportunity is only open to SkillsUSA students who live in, or plan to attend, school in one of the following Southeastern states: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana as well as Oklahoma.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; however, the spring round will be closing soon. If you have questions, contact Marcia Strickland at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please apply here: https://skillsusa.wufoo.com/forms/scoar-scholarship/.
