| SkillsUSA Champion of the Year Announcement | New Advisor Mega Prizes Announced |
We are pleased to let you know that SkillsUSA has announced that Jim Lentz, President and Chief Operating Officer of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. will be named our SkillsUSA Champion of the Year for 2011. Jim and Toyota will be honored at the 2011 SkillsUSA Champion of the Year Dinner on Friday, November 4th at the Waldorf=Astoria hotel in New York City. The 2011 event will recognize Jim and Toyota for outstanding support of SkillsUSA and their commitment toward a skilled American work force. In addition to celebrating Jim's and Toyota’s leadership, the Champion of the Year Dinner is a major fundraising event for SkillsUSA. It provides important financial resources to invest in the mission of the organization. Many of you graciously supported last year's inaugural event that honored John McGlade, Chairman, President and CEO of Air Products. In the coming weeks, you will be receiving further details regarding the sponsorship opportunities for the event. We look forward to your help and support. Please contact Chris Powell at 703-737-0621 or via email at cpowell@skillsusa.org with any questions. Thank you for being a SkillsUSA Champion and we appreciate your support! Sincerely, Tim Lawrence NLSC and the SkillsUSA Championships 2011 - It's almost here!
