Note: Please attend opening dinner and session in SkillsUSA official attire.

Registration and check-in: Noon – 5 p.m.

Turn in Pre-assignment Brochure or PowerPoint Slide.

Opening Dinner & Session (Potomac Ballroom I, II, III): 6 p.m.

Students: Ice-beakers w/ National Officers & Orientation. Potomac Ballroom

8:30 p.m.

Advisors: Orientation and Organizational Meeting (Colvin I & II)

8:30 p.m.
State Meeting (Dulles A, Colvin I, Colvin II, International, Fairfax) 10 p.m.
Curfew 11 p.m.
Sunday, September 21 – Day of Touring Washington D.C.
Note:  Day of touring is casual.  Please wear your conference shirt please for group photo.
Breakfast (Potomac Ballroom I, II & III) 7 a.m.
Buses Depart for Downtown D.C. 8 a.m.
Group Picture in front of the Capitol 8:45 a.m.
Guided tour of monuments 9 a.m. – Noon

Tour of Downtown D.C., Smithsonian, and Lunch – on your own (Drop-off in front of Air and Space Museum)

NOTE:  States are "on their own" for touring and lunch.  Information and maps will be provided during orientation on Saturday night.
Noon – 4 p.m.

Buses depart for National SkillsUSA Center
(Load in front of Air and Space Museum)

4 p.m.

National SkillsUSA Center    
Picnic Dinner, Games and Tour at National SkillsUSA Center.

5:30 p.m.
Buses return to hotel 7:30 p.m.

State meetings (Dulles A, Colvin I, Colvin II, International, Fairfax) Room set-up: all rooms, rounds to capacity.

Monday, September 22 – The Individual as an Advocate
Breakfast (Potomac Ballroom I, II & III) 8 a.m.
Preparation for Congressional Visits 8:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
Break for teachers 9:15 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Students:  Advocates for CTE  (Potomac I, II & III) 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Advisors:  Perkins 2007 (Colvin I & II) 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Break 10:45 a.m. – 10:50 a.m.

Lunch (Potomac I, II & III Ballroom) Joint Session Students and Advisors
Featured speaker:

12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Break 1:45 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Students:  Advocates for CTE
Potomac I for college /postsecondary
Potomac II & III for high school

2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Buses depart for Dulles Town Center – Dinner and shopping on your own 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Last Bus returns from Dulles Town Center to the Hilton 9:30 p.m.

Tuesday, September 23 – A Day at our Nation's Capitol
Breakfast
7:30 a.m.
Buses depart for Washington D.C.
REMINDER: Bring photo ID for admittance into Federal Buildings
8:30 a.m.
Congressional visits (lunch on your own) 10:15 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Buses depart for Arlington National Cemetery
Pickup point - Northwest side of First St.
3 p.m
Wreath Ceremony: Tomb of the Unknowns, Arlington National Cemetery 4:15 p.m.
Buses depart for hotel 5:30 p.m.
Dinner at the Hilton (Potomac Ballroom I, II & III)
Room set-up: Rounds to capacity
6:30 p.m.
WLTI Social–food, dance and karaoke! (Potomac Ballroom I, II & III) 8:30 p.m.

Statesman papers, pre-conference assignments and conference evaluations due.
(Bring to Executive Boardroom I)

9 p.m.
Curfew 11:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 24 – Statesman Recognition Ceremony
Statesman Interviews (Dulles A, Colvin I, Colvin II, International, Fairfax) 7:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
Closing Ceremony and Breakfast (Potomac ballroom I, II & III) 9 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
Note: flight arrangements can be made after 1 p.m. if flying out of Dulles
