2013 Student2Student Mentoring Contest Winner
Two SkillsUSA chapters have been honored for their efforts in the Student2Student Mentoring Program. The 2013 Grand Prize winner for the Student2Student mentoring contest is Mounds View High School in Arden Hills, Minn. There are two Awards of Excellence: Brookhaven Technical Center at Eastern Suffolk BOCES in Bellport, N.Y. and Palmdale (Calif.) High School. Any chapter involved in mentoring can submit project plans, description and outcomes. This program is open to all SkillsUSA chapters at a secondary or college institution. Chapters must be participating in a mentoring project with local elementary or middle school students. The entire chapter and multiple programs at one school are encouraged to participate in a mentoring program. SkillsUSA membership will be verified.
