Drafting I and II students helped the local girl scout club earn their architecture badges. Fourteen SkillsUSA drafting students helped eleven Girl Scouts (brownies and daisy/grades 1-3) complete the objectives found in their handbook.
The SkillsUSA members helped the girls draw a room plan (using CAD), draw a garden (using CAD), take a virtual architectural styles tour, lead a discussion on styles; Create a notbook of their printed drawings, and examples of different architectural styles. They also helped them to build a stick home model. We provided them with a pizza supper and t-shirts, SkillsUSA members will attend the badge ceremony to present the architecture badges to the girls.
