Lowe's Grant Guidelines
The grants are not intended for helping individuals, select groups of people, single families or for use as part of ongoing national programs run by other organizations. Projects funded by a Lowe’s grant should be unique in nature and engage a quality planning and implementation process, including careful evaluation and reporting upon completion. Your chapter may team up with other schools or civic organizations, but Lowe’s and SkillsUSA do not want to merely tag onto other organization’s projects or replicate existing national projects or programs.

Through the grant programs, Lowe's is also looking to engage SkillsUSA students and teachers with store staff and local contractors. Developing a relationship between the SkillsUSA chapter or technical school and one or more local Lowe's stores can be a key component of the grant selection process. Your best contacts at a Lowe's store are the store manager, the operations manager and the commercial sales specialists. (Note: the personnel at your local Lowe’s store may or may not be aware of this national Lowe’s grant program and the timing of grant applications.) |
