It’s Time to Warm Up
Your Plans for Summer

Does the sight of icicles anger you? Does a forecast of “cold and blustery” make you crawl under the blankets and dream of the beach? If so, you may not be what experts term a “winter person.” Why not get yourself in a summer frame of mind early by planning for SkillsUSA’s summer training opportunities?

Held June 21–23, in conjunction with SkillsUSA’s national conference, the State Officer and Advisor 101 session offers basic training for new officers and advisors.

Step it up a notch at the next Leadership Development Academy. It’s scheduled for July 23–27 in historic Philadelphia and offers intense leadership training.

Finally, the Washington Leadership Training Institute (WLTI) offers advanced training for students and advisors, as well as tours and congressional visits. It’s held from Sept. 20–24. (OK, that’s not technically summer, but we can guarantee it’ll be a lot warmer then than it is now.)
