America's Highly Skilled
Work Force Meets In Kansas City

SkillsUSA will return to Kansas City June 24-28, 2013 for its 49th annual National Leadership and Skills Conference, a showcase of career and technical education students. Quality career and technical education will be the centerpiece of the conference. More than 15,000 students, teachers, education leaders, and representatives from more than 1,100 national corporations, trade associations, businesses and labor unions will participate in the event. A special highlighted event will be the annual SkillsUSA Championships June 25, 26 and 27 with 98 hands-on skill and leadership competitions.

SkillsUSA Championships:
Date: June 25, 26 and 27, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Location:  Bartle Hall/Municipal Auditorium, downtown Marriott, Crowne Plaza, the Muehlbach, The Hotel Phillips and American Royal
Expected attendance: 15,000
These events are open to the public and free of charge.

Hours: 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Alumni Champions 5K Run
Date: June 27 at 9 a.m.
Location: Parkville Nature Sanctuary, located at Missouri Highway 9 and 12th Street in Parkville, Mo.
