Each State in the USA has the opportunity to register their membership to ASTS on a State Basis instead of an individual basis as has been the case in the past for ASTS. This year we are offering the ASTS members in each State the chance to register for ASTS along with their ACTE and State Organization memberships.

The regular single fee for ASTS is $25. We offer a $5 discount if the member is a SkillsUSA Professional Member or an ACTE member so these people pay only $20 for a single membership.

The ASTS Board has put forth an Affiliation Plan for States which offers deeper discounted memberships. The chart below explains the rates on a pro-rated scale of membership:

The suggested affiliate levels are:

• 1-100 = $1,500
• 101-200 = $2,400
• 201-300 = $3,000
• 300 and more members = $3,000 plus $10 fee for each additional member over 300.

Under this plan if you currently have 145 members, your State would pay $2,400 instead of a total of $3,625. States with memberships of 330 would pay $ $3,300 instead of $8,250. Our goal is to increase membership in the Association so we can provide more member services and offer more professional development activities for members. The future plans call for a possible National meeting for the Skilled and Technical Programs but this won’t be possible until we increase our membership base.
